Vista - What does person centred mean?
Being person centred is an approach which puts as much choice and control as possible with the person being supported.
Vista was one of the first organisations in Victoria to adopt person centred practice. We have had plenty of experience on putting it into practice, and we are still exploring its opportunities and boundaries.
Person centred means exactly what it says—putting a person in the centre. For someone needing support, this means ensuring you are at the centre of the planning process.
