The DirectLife program supports people with disabilities who want to be in charge of their own life and live independently in the community.

The DirectLife facilitator:

• Gets to know each individual and finds out their dreams and goals
• Helps them to work out living arrangements, such as:
  • Working out where to get help
  • Finding someone they could share with
  • Drawing up an agreement about how a shared house might run
  • Helping to form a support council of people nominated by the participant
  • Linking individuals with others in the program as an opportunity to make friends

Eligibility: Anyone eligible for services with DHS in the Southern or Eastern Regions is eligible for DirectLife
